SomeoneBuilt is the operator of this site, someonebuilt.com. Contact: hello@someonebuilt.com. We operate from Texas, United States.

What we collect

If you create an account we store:

  • your email address (from the form, Google, or a verified GitHub email)
  • your display name and profile picture
  • screenshots and an optional YouTube demo link for a tool
  • how you signed in (password, Google, or GitHub)
  • hearts and thumbs on tool pages
  • tool submissions and proposed edits you send for review
  • a Cloudflare Turnstile check on email forms so we can tell a person from a bot

If you only join the notify list on the homepage, we store that email, the time you signed up, an unsubscribe token, and the Turnstile check. We use that address to send notes when new makers and tools land on the desk. Every note has a link to leave the list.

If you request the free Seek Clips 1.0 installer, we store that email, the time, a download token, and the Turnstile check. We use the address to send the installer link. That request does not by itself add you to the homepage notify list. Email hello@someonebuilt.com if you want the address removed.

Cloudflare hosts the site. Like most hosts, it may see your IP address and browser user agent in normal request logs.

Why

We use your email to run the account, send confirm and review mail, and write you about SomeoneBuilt. Hearts and votes help the desk and the owner decide what stays visible. Submissions are reviewed by hand before they go live.

Where it lives

Account rows, sessions, votes, and listings are stored in Cloudflare D1. Photos go in Cloudflare R2. Optional YouTube demo links are stored as a URL only; the player loads from YouTube when someone opens the tool page. The site itself runs on Cloudflare. We do not run a separate marketing database.

What stays in your browser

Your color theme and a signed-in session cookie are stored on your device. We do not use those to follow you across other websites.

What we do not do

No ads. We do not sell the list. We do not add third-party marketing pixels.

Leaving

Email hello@someonebuilt.com and ask to be removed, or use the unsubscribe link in a notify-list email. We will delete your account row and notify-list row from D1.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13.
