About

SomeoneBuilt is a catalog of Windows and Mac tools that shows the person who made them.

Most software sites sell you a logo and a star rating. You never meet the builder. That is a trust problem. This site treats it like one.

The name is the rule. Someone built this. Here is who.

I build too. I got tired of hunting for the human behind the download. So did a lot of people shipping desktop tools in the open. They are spread out. This is one place to put a face on the work.

What belongs here

• Windows and Mac desktop tools
• A name, a profile picture, and a short story of who shipped it

What does not

• Phone app stores. Those already exist.
• A wall of icons with nobody attached
• A long application to "get featured"

The catalog is open. Browse who's here, or submit a tool if you ship Windows or Mac. You need an account to submit and to edit a listing later.
